Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution
2012 marked the 25th anniversary of the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington, USA, one of the world’s finest museums of Asian Art.
 
Flint was engaged to work alongside the Smithsonian Institution on a campaign brief promoting the anniversary celebrations and commemorating the legacy of its founder, the remarkable American philanthropist Dr Arthur M. Sackler, whose donation of 1000 Asian artworks formed the gallery’s founding collection.
 
In addition to generating widespread press coverage for the anniversary celebrations, Flint also developed a personal profile-raising campaign for the Sackler’s Director Julian Raby, initiating a series of strategic introductions and meetings via the agency’s 
extensive portfolio of contacts in the cultural and corporate sectors.
 
Following on from the success of the initial campaign, Flint was subsequently tasked with the promotion of a major exhibition titled ‘Yoga: The Art of Transformation’, which opened at the Sackler in autumn 2013.  It was be the world’s first show about the visual history of yoga, featuring over 120 masterpieces loaned from over 25 international museums and private collections.
 
Through Flint’s international network of offices and affiliates in London, Delhi, Istanbul and New York, the agency provided the Smithsonian with a truly international promotional campaign for this ground-breaking exhibition.
