Flint wins Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) brief to represent the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial and the Pavilion of Turkey at the Venice Biennale

Flint has been appointed by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) to deliver an international communications campaign to support the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, and the Pavilion of Turkey at the16th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia.

One of the most prestigious architecture events in the world, the Venice Architecture Biennale will take place from 26 May – 25 November 2018. The Pavilion of Turkey will present Vardiya / The Shift, curated by Kerem Piker.

Coordinated by İKSV, and with the contribution of 21 supporters, the Pavilion of Turkey began its residency in the Arsenale in 2014 at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition.

Welcoming international participation from 22 September – 4 November 2018, the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial will present the exhibition and its programme under the theme A School of Schools. Curated by Jan Boelen, it will continue the legacy of previous editions, while reinventing the biennial format as a platform for research, experimentation and learning. The biennial will reflect on the roles of design, knowledge and global connectedness in contemporary Istanbul and beyond.

Flint’s London and Istanbul offices will collaborate to promote these activities within the global design and architecture conversation.
